One Foot in the Gravy – A Comedy.

Characters:
FERGY: A disinherited Chicago blue blood. Though FERGY’s posture, voice, and overall deportment reflect cultivation, under her aristocratic veneer lurks a street-wise survivor. She finds the world a terrific bore, her mannerisms often fluctuating between the flamboyant and the dismissive. Her wit is dry and she relishes the understatement.
NED: FRANK’s live-in caretaker and FERGY’s secret lover, who masquerades as a woman in order to be near FERGY. A high-strung, neurotic beefcake, who lacks the grace and education which FERGY exudes.
FRANK: FERGY’s very rich, very miserly, and very obnoxious elderly husband, who, reportedly, is on death’s doorstep.
O’RONEY: A police investigator.
Auditions will be held in the Theatre’s upstairs studio. Signs will be posted.
